Visiting Vienna? My first piece of advice would be to spend more than 2 days here. Unfortunately, I was on a school trip and did not have a choice but there is SO much to see in Vienna!

Getting there: You can find fairly cheap flights from SFO to Vienna in September and October and the weather is still beautiful! If you are traveling around Europe the easiest cities to travel to Vienna from are Prague, Krakow, Budapest and Munich.

Stay: If you are looking for a private room myMOjOve, if you are looking for a dorm style room Hostel Ruthensteiner Vienna.

Day 1: We spent our first day in Vienna touring the city. We spent some time at the Imperial Palace and the grounds surrounding it. We also visited St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the Natural History Museum. Eat: Lunch at Schimanko’s Winzerhaus, it is located outside of the city center in the beautiful countryside. The food is so tasty!

Day 2: You could really spend a week exploring the Belvedere Palace Museum, Schoenbrunn Palace and Schonbrunner Gardens, but we only had a few hours. The inside of the Belvedere Palace Museum has rooms filled with art from all of Europe. Go out: Vienna has a great night club scene, keep in mind some clubs are 21 and over and almost all clubs require a cover charge of at least 10 euros.

  1. Right here is the right blog for everyone who would like to understand this topic.
You know a whole lot its almost tough to argue with you (not that I actually
will need to…HaHa). You certainly put a fresh spin on a topic that’s been written about for many years.

    Great stuff, just great!
